Dr Arun Gupta | Universal Gastroenterology

Dr Arun Gupta is a passionate gastroenterologist who is adept at sorting out clinical problems, from the most straightforward to the most complex. Arun was born and raised in Melbourne and is a graduate of the University of Melbourne (1998). After training at The Royal Melbourne Hospital, Arun spent twelve years working interstate and overseas.

Arun has worked with experts in the field in Melbourne, Sydney, and Oxford in the United Kingdom, with respect to gastroenterology, endoscopy, and liver diseases (hepatology). He is a proficient endoscopist and has admitting rights at Glen Iris Private, Cabrini Malvern, Holmesglen Private Hospital, and The Bays in Mornington.

Arun was awarded the Doctor of Medicine research doctorate through the University of Melbourne in 2015 for his work relating to inflammatory bowel disease and has an interest in regional outreach. He periodically works as a visiting medical officer in Northern Tasmania, and he lives with his wife and daughter and has a cavoodle named Milo.
